  • Exploring the Universe is a general education course that provides an elementary introduction to modern physics, astronomy and cosmology for non-physics major undergraduates. Topics include: Einstein and theory of relativity, Planck and quantum theory, elementary particles and fundamental interactions, sun and solar system, sky and constellations, stars and galaxies, cosmic expansion and big bang theory, and history and fate of the Universe. (Spring 2012)

    宇宙的探索為大學部核心通識選修課程。課程目的在藉由淺顯說明及多媒體影像,介紹近代物理學、天文學及宇宙學的進展,探索自然世界的規律和宇宙的演化。主題包括:愛因斯坦與相對論,普郎克與量子論,基本粒子與基本交互作用,星空與星座,太陽與太陽系,星體與星系,宇宙膨漲與大霹靂理論,宇宙的過去、現在與未來。
  • Global Technology Revolution is a required general education course that introduces to undergraduate freshmen the technology revolution currently changing the modern world. Topics include: revolution in quantum technology, information technology and biotechnology, advances in modern physics and cosmology, as well as their impact on the society, environment, culture and our view of the universe as a whole.   • Advanced Mathematical Physics is a one-semester course required for Ph.D. students, and elective for M.Sc. students, in physics. It introduces some of the advanced mathematical methods that are frequently used in the analysis of physical problems and experimental data. Topics include: complex analysis, probability and statistics. (Spring 2011)

  • Introduction to Statistical Mechanics is a one-semester elective course for junior physics majors. It aims to provide an elementary introduction to fundamental concepts of statistical mechanics. Topics include: statistical thermodynamics, classical and quantum statistics, heat capacity of gases and solids, thermodynamics of magnetism, and quantum gases. (Spring 2012)

  • Mathematical Physics I is the first of a two-course sequence required for sophomore physics majors.   • Particle Physics is an elective course for senior physics majors. It provides a qualitative introduction to elementary particle physics. Topics include: basic concepts, relativistic kinematics, symmetries, hadrons and the quark model, quantum chromodynamics, leptons and the weak interaction, electroweak unification, and the standard model.
